About Us

Alternative Urban Solutions, LLC (AUS) is an agency dedicated to building leaders, entrepreneurs, and businesswomen among women of color, especially in the East African community to enrich their quality of life. Due to gender and racial disparities, women of color do not have the opportunities to advance their skills, get employment training, and connect to better employers and resources. The number of small business failures is much higher among minorities, especially African women. Alternative Urban Solutions address these gaps through mentorship, employment training, resume building, financial literacy, GED Prep, filing of medical forms, job search assistance, transportation, and much more. We are in partnership with non-profit organizations, businesses, and schools with the vision of enhancing the quality of life of East African women by enhancing their skills, providing career-specific training, and ensuring their mental wellbeing.

The mission of Alternative Urban Solutions is to strengthen, assist, serve, and empower women of color to achieve social and economic well-being as well as improve their quality of life.

We strive to build leaders, entrepreneurs, and business persons from the African American women community via financial literacy and mentorship. Alternative Urban Solutions focuses on improving the quality-of-life of the African American women by eradicating the barriers for women of color in the industry. We enhance the chances for women of color to get better employment opportunities by connecting them to the right resources for skill development, employment training, and mentorship.
